From a young age, I've been captivated by the transformative magic of hairstyling—a world where creativity meets confidence, and every snip or color can unlock someone's inner radiance. My passion for the beauty industry and fashion world has been the heartbeat of my journey, drawing me to connect with clients from every corner of the globe, celebrating the endless diversity of hair colors, textures, and peoples multi-dimensional ways of life.

 

My formal adventure began in 1997, interning at the vibrant Diva Hair Salon while honing my skills at Marvel Hair College. I graduated from Delmar College in Calgary, Alberta, armed with a solid foundation and an unquenchable thirst for more. It was here that I crossed paths with my mentor, Raymond Taleb—a legendary Master Stylist and judge at ABA hair shows across Canada. Under his wing, I witnessed the evolution of Diva into a Calgary empire. From him, I absorbed the art of forging unbreakable client relationships and the savvy of thriving in this dynamic business.

 

Eager to elevate my craft, I ventured to the iconic Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles. In that sun-soaked hub of innovation, I immersed myself in advanced cutting techniques, sculpting timeless shapes and styles that transcend trends. This experience ignited a lifelong commitment to precision artistry that feels anything but ordinary.

My growth didn't stop there. I traversed the country, attending creative coloring and cutting workshops at Aveda Institutes nationwide. Under the guidance of Ray Civello, CEO and President of Aveda Canada and Collega International, I learned to honor the very soul of hair—nurturing its health while embracing every natural texture with reverence and joy.

 

In 2002, Milan, Italy, beckoned. Amid the glamour of hair shows, runway spectacles, and intimate seminars, I discovered my passion for holistic styling: avant-garde designs, intricate updos, and the seamless fusion of hair with makeup. It was a pinnacle moment, blending high fashion with heartfelt personalization. Building on this, I refined my bridal and event expertise through courses with Martin Parsons, the masterful creator of updos and styles that grace weddings, red carpets, and editorial shoots.

 

After a decade of absorbing wisdom from the world's finest, I took the leap in 2006 to launch Bellezza Beauty Inc. from my home studio in Calgary. What started as a cozy sanctuary has blossomed into a cherished haven of timeless elegance and warmth—a space where clients escape the everyday and emerge renewed. Over the years, it's been a privilege to nurture loyal relationships with extraordinary clients and a talented team that inspires me daily to evolve. Our dedication culminated in 2023 when Bellezza was honored as one of Calgary's "Best of" businesses—a testament to the trust and joy we've cultivated together.
